Andreea Bagiu was born on January 5, 1982, in the commune of Cristian, district of Brasov Romania.
Together with her family, Andreea immigrated in the USA in 1995.
Enrolled at the Glendale Community College, Glendale, CA, being specially gifted by the Almighty with the painting gift, Andreea pursued her vocation taking the painting as her Major in College.
From her mother's side, Andreea comes from a family of Orthodox Christian priest. Father Petru Stroe, her grandfather, had a strong influence in Andreea's spiritual and artistic life.
Her family gave a few artists like: Georgeta Bagiu Stroe, Andreea's mother, who has as hobby the floral painting; Dr. Doina Buzea of New York, a niece of Fr. Petru Stroe, is an iconographer on glass; and the internationally renown artist, the painter Gabriela Elena Stroe from Holland (http://www.gabriela-stroe.nl), Andreea's aunt and godmother, who had a tremendous influence on her out bringing as an artist. Thus making Andreea the youngest artist of Stroe family.
The gift and mercy of God, through the hand of Andreea Ioana Bagiu
Andreea learnt the technique of painting on glass in Romania, while the style of Byzantine iconography, came to her by God's inspiration, and book studying, which could be defined as the artist's main hobby. Andreea considers her painting works as "the gift and mercy of God, through the hand of Andreea Ioana Bagiu".
It is the artist's desire that the fellow human beings will enjoy the beauty of God's creation, through her paintings; God has given special gifts to the artists, who, in turn, through their arts, they express in color the beauty of God's creation; Everyone and everything being called upon to glorify God, Who has revealed Himself to us, through His marvelous creation.
